Night At The Daughtry Concert

Last night my friend Charlene and I had a great time at the Daughtry concert. I enjoyed the whole show, even though I didn't know a couple of the songs. I think we were just happy to be owwwwt!

So Cavo was the opening act, and then Lifehouse was next, and then the main event was Daughtry. At one point in time Daughtry and Lifehouse were on stage together. We just had a great time there. We danced, we sang along, were crazy women.

When we first got there we went to the souvenir stand first. Had to get that stuff before it got too packed. I bought a Daughtry T-Shirt and their tour book. Charlene got herself a keychain. Next up was a food stop for some pretzels, and then the Margarita stand. I asked for a keg, but they didn't supply! Hmph! Charlene bought herself some almond and pecans roasted in something that smelled yummy. Let me tell ya, she protected those nuts! First she tucked her nuts safely in her pocket and kept making sure she didn't lose them. She was nice enough to see if I wanted some of her nuts though. And in the end, she forgot her nuts under the chair when we left. Awww nuts!

Ok, climbing outta the gutter now! We didn't get too many pictures since all the lights in there kind of make things blurry. But we got a couple of good shots. We even took pictures of our stop at Jack in the Box on the way home! I just couldn't pass up a comical moment!

So here are some of the pics....

This is when we first got seated...you see Charlene?...she's eating the, um, nuts...

And here we are still waiting, so we had the girls sitting next to us snap a pic of us...

Not too good quality of a pic here, but this is when Daughtry and Lifehouse were both on stage...

See the guy in the white shirt and then the guy standing to the left of him?, that is the drummer and one of the guitar players for Cavo...they were standing not far from us watching Lifehouse up on stage...

This one is a little, ok maybe a lot, blurry, but I was dancing and having a good time!

This was outside after the show. It was windy as heck, so I was fighting back so I wouldn't get blown over!

See...this is how windy it was outside! Charlene's hair was EVERYWHERE like she was rockin' out or something!

So here we were in the drive through at Jack in the Box. I couldn't resist this opportunity. I was digging out my money and happened to look over there and see the pic of Jack in the car looking over and smiling. So I told Charlene to grab the camera and take a pic for proof that Jack was checkin' us out!!!

And here was Charlene sipping on her chocolate shake...yummy!

Oh ya, I almost forgot. After the concert was over, we left the seating area and were walking down the hallway towards our exit. Well Charlene wanted to go back into the seating area closer to the stage to get a better view of the set up. So we walked back in to the curtains and were watching the crew take everything down. I was just standing there for a little bit, so I went to turn to tell her something. And she wasn't there. Instead, there was a whole group of security right behind me, and I literally mean that one of them was right behind me with his face close to my back. Ya, a little startled! I'm pretty sure I said something along the lines of "ahhhhhhhhh"! Anyways, he told me I have a wicked tattoo on my back. Creep...scared the crap outta me. Personal space issues! I found Charlene on the other side of the curtain...whew!

We really had lots of fun...can't wait for the next one!

Concert Day!!!

Woooo to the freakin' Hoooooooo!!! The day has finally arrived! I get to go and see the Daughtry/Lifehouse/Cavo Concert in 5 hours! Actually, 5 1/2, but who's counting right!

Here's a speck of comedy when it comes to concert days. Most of the time it's like rush, rush, rush to make sure everything is done so you can get out of the door in time. So here is a peek into today's scenario. Get up, get kids ready for school and ship their bootay's outta the door, finish getting dressed, head out to breakfast with my hubby whom I luvy, sit at the restaurant with him and talk crap about the junkies driving a truck about 40 mph on the freeway, leave the restaurant and part ways with the hubby, head off to math class, cram new information in, leave and head to a store to see if I can find a cute outfit, decide not to go to the bank cause I'll just hit up an ATM to get some money to take to the concert, stop at the gas station on the way home to get some gas and go through the drive through car wash, have to wait cause some painters are blocking the path into the car wash so decide to go to Mcdonald's for some lunch, head back to the carwash, watch some worker get sprayed by the car wash cause he's at the end on a ladder painting something all while I'm sitting in my car eating my hamburger and fries, leave and head home, stop at the little store in town first to withdraw money from the ATM, ATM IS OUT OF MONEY, stop and check mail, head home. Quick trip on here to do my post, have to look over my board packet some more for a meeting tomorrow at the fire station, would like to fit in some exercise, and then a shower. Kids will be home and wreaking havoc at about 3:30, will have to make them some dinner and do their homework, get their baths going, chores. And then I will have to make it out the door at 5:45 to go and pick up my friend Charlene so we can head out like the excited crazy women that we are. WHEW....wonder if I can fit a nap in there somewhere...nope, too busy thinking of where I need to stop and withdraw some mula.

Oh ya, I still have to paint my nails too, and......ugh! Gotta go!

A New Dog and A Day At The Park and Daughtry

Been running around busy today, so now I get some time to sit and post. It's been a busy and fun day. Well, I can't say math class was fun, but it was busy.

I'm very excited cause this morning I purchased tickets for a friend and I to go to the Daughtry concert when they come to AZ in April! Can't.wait!

And then in band camp I had to go to my lovely math class. When I got back into town, Shortmama called me up to see if we wanted to go to the park with them, so of course I said yes. But before we went, I had to stop at the mail, and I ran into someone that I knew had some American Bulldogs....and I ended up buying one! Here she is, we've named her Malibu, after my fave drink....

She snores. This ought to be awesome...trying to sleep through my hubby and Roxy and Malibu all.snoring. Hmm. Amanda says we should re-name Roxy "Coke"...that way we can have Malibu and Coke...hehe. Jason, my hubby, says it's Malibu on the Rox(y)....hehe

Here are some pics from our trip to the park today....

Alyssa and her friend running around feeding the ducks...

Shortmama's daughter Layla playing with tonka and sand...

Rhiannon and Jayce monkeying around...

Mr. Jayce jumping out of a tree...

Taylor, longingy looking at the water play area, with a busted lip, cause ya, she's graceful like that...

Taylor and her friend monkeying around...

And last but not least...Me and Shortmama...

P!NK CONCERT

Finally...the long awaited pink concert...there we are, the 4th stop in the 2009 Tour,
Glendale, AZ

I have to say that I think that was the best concert that I have ever been to. Full of energy, lots of stuff going on, lots of songs performed. The opening act was The Ting Tings...could've done without them...like the beat of the drums, that was about it though.

But once P!NK finally got on stage...Charlene and I along with the whole crowd went wild. Screaming, dancing, singing, the whole thing...lots and lots of energy. Hmm, wonder why my throat is sore today! The show was supposed to start at 7:30 p.m., but it didn't start until sometime just after 8 p.m. And then it didn't end until 11:30 p.m. Well worth the money...well worth all of the excitement building up to being able to go. The only thing I wish were different was I wish that we were able to take in cameras...but don't think we would've gotten good shots anyways with all of the lights.

There was a moment in the show where they did shots of people dancing in the crowd. They got to this one lady that was dancing so funky...you know the kind that can't dance but do it anyways...the whole crowd was in an uproar watching her dance...I had tears just streaming down my face watching her. Great entertainment!

While standing in "line" (more like a mosh pit) to get souvenirs, we were entertained by a lady that was hollering at the workers behind the counter that her and these two girls before her were there way before the guy that was getting served, and then him cussing at her for it, but then it just abruptly ended. Other than that, there wasn't any other rowdy events to watch and be entertained by.

There was a very naughty scene when pink sang the song (don't remember the title) "when I think about you, I touch myself"...I'll leave it up to your imaginations to imagine what was going on there....

Overall..I LOVED THAT CONCERT!!! If there are any other P!NK fans out there, I would highly suggest this show...she's got lots more tour locations for 2009..wish I could go to all of them. And she sounds absolutely awesome in person. I love her sarcastic humor..got a little of that in me, so I can relate.

Guess I will end this novel...what a great memory this will be....I know you will read this Charlene...hope it will be a great memory for you also...

P!NK Concert Here We Come

Holy hippie I am so excited!!! This morning I went online and bought some concert tickets for my friend Charlene and I to go and see P!NK! So the concert isn't until September 20th, but I'm still really excited nonetheless. I've never been to one of her concerts before, so it will be a fun first.

So, what concerts have I been to before? Well, I've been to an Aerosmith concert. That was really cool...minus the boyfriend that followed my friend Jen and I there and tried to ruin it for us but it didn't really work. Let's just say he had some issues.

And I've been to a few concerts that had a variety of artists singing. Been to a few that were called "That Damn Show". Word from the wise...if you go with a group of friends and you split into two groups for a small amount of time...don't plan to meet at some big blow up thingy...it just may be taken down in the short amount of your time apart...and then you're screwed on where you were supposed to meet up.

I've also been to a Lollapalooza. That was also very interesting. Cyprus Hill was one of the artists there. Now while I can actually sing along to some of their songs...I don't smoke...anything...so it was kinda weird when they started throwing joints out into the crowd...and the people next to us were nice hippies I guess and were willing to share theirs with us...umm, no thanks. The other most memorable part of this concert was someone that I didn't know and still don't know got up on the stage and started to sing The Thong Song...and he was only wearing a thong...a skin colored thong...eewww. And he also decided to run through the crowd like this.

And of course there was the American Idols concert that I just recently took my girls to with one of their friends and a grandma. It was the first laid back concert I have ever been to..guess it had to be with kids there. Well, minus the sex act movements on the mic pole by Adam Lambert. Yep, you could just imagine the thoughts going through my mind when I heard my oldest daughter and her friend giggling through this...mmm hmm...chastity belt...grounded for life...keep your legs closed, it helps prevent stretch marks.....

So..can't wait to see what kind of an adventure this concert brings.
