Just Talkin'

I have been out gettin' things done all day.

Turned in my prescription refill for (of all things) high cholesterol. It's a hereditary thing. But..can't get it filled until I get a checkup..Yay! Ugh.

Picked up an application for Police Communications Dispatcher. Whoever said that I could make up my mind? I can't. I guess I have so much that I would like to do, but I can't do them all, so whatever is going to happen will happen. I guess my thought process at this current second is that I will try for the dispatching again, and if all else fails, then go for the nursing at the end of next year when I'm not so rushed to get the financial aid stuff together.

Bought the kids' halloween costumes, already. I think this is the first time that I bought them so soon. But I don't feel like taking a pic of them right now to post what they look like. I think that will just have to wait until halloween gets here. I did see some cute ones that I would've liked...I should've gotten one for my husband and myself..I would so do it...my husband would so not.

I think that I have also decided to get my nails done again. I think it's just because I thought the cashier at the grocery store had hers all done up cute. They were all halloweeny. I was a bad customer today and made the customer behind me wait a moment while I got the nail salon info from the cashier. It was important.

I so wish someone else was watching my kids tomorrow so I could drag Shortmama with me to the tattoo parlor. Maybe we could make Jayce suffer through the sitter's for a few hours? It's not the sitter, it's Jayce. Puuhhlleaaase Amanda!!!!!!!!! I may need someone loving and kind there with me...maybe to tell me to shut my dirty word spout if I happen to feel any pain. I'm just sayin'....

Random Tuesday Thoughts

And on..to the next episode:

* I have a serious dislike for allergies. I have suffered them since childhood, and have tried every medicine to help them, and am even taking allergy shots...the medicine doesn't help, and the allergy shots slightly make the symptoms better. And now two of my children suffer as well. And seeing how I had a bad itchy allergy night, I'm kinda cranky about it.

* It seems that I missed an event at the last football game that I attended for my nephew and the team. I had to leave early to go to a board meeting. And towards the end of the game, one of our coaches was cussing out .....our other coach. Hmm. Interesting. I like to see these things, and I completely missed out. Now while I don't think all the kids should have seen/heard this, I am all for the one that was doing all of the cursing. And I know the kids will miss him, since obviously he won't be coaching anymore. The coach that he was cursing out is pretty pompous.

* I am reading a series in our AZ newspaper about a man that was hired to be an informer for the police to help infiltrate mexican drug cartels. While the police were setting up a sting using their informer, the cartel was setting up their own sting due to suspicions. So when the informer was picked up by two of the cartel members, they were followed by a whole bunch of undercover cars and a helicopter. The. Police. Lost. Track. Of. The. Car. How the heck?! They weren't even in a pursuit. I find out today how the story ends. But I'm pretty sure it ends with the informers death. The paper stated that the cartel members had picked up batting gloves and adult diapers before they picked up the informer. And when they got him to a house, they made him take off his clothes and put the diaper on and proceeded to beat him and put a plastic bag around his head. How could they lose the car and let this happen???? Remind me to never be employed as an informer.

* I'm on a count down...only 2 days left until my next tattoo!

Friend Makin' Monday

This week Amber wants to know what we cannot live without.

First would have to be that I cannot live without my family and friends..love them! And my dog Roxy.

Here is just a few of my family and friends..I would've added more, but blogger is really ticking me off and it's having problems scrolling the pics down..so I had to cut and paste, and I'm not going to do it anymore!

Here is my hubby whom I love to pieces..

This is my friend Jen, whom I have been friends with since my freshman year in high school, and then we married brothers and became family.

Here is a mixture of kiddos...L to R: My friend Amanda's (also known as Shortmama) daughter's that are holding hands, Rhiannon and Layla, my niece Ashlyn, my daughter Alyssa, my daughter Taylor and in front is my son Jayce.

And here are my kids with my brother that I love so much, Brian

And here is my loving dog, Roxy.

I cannot live without books...I love to read.

I cannot live without music...good for so many things, makes cleaning seemingly go by faster, can dance around to it, etc.

My soft blanket and squishy pillow...ahh it's wonderful!

Sweet Tea...Ridiculously Sweet Tea! Mmm!

My camera and camcorder to record our life. Love looking back on our memories and the things that I may have forgotten about, but are documented through photos and video.

There are really so many other things, but I'll keep it short.

Follow Up...

So I did it. I spent the wonderful, fabulous FREE gift cards worth $150 on...protective sealant for our wood fence. Ugh. I'm glad that we didn't have to pay for it since it was ridiculously expensive, it was $138 before taxes. So by the time they (stole from me) added taxes, I only had just over $4 to spend. So what did I do? I went right down the way to Kohl's. I bought two shirts worth $3.60 each, so I pretty much got one for free, and I bought a pair of Skecher's shoes for my son as a Christmas present, they were on sale for 80% off, which brought them to a whole $8.99. Great price for Skechers. They were having some good sales.
Still dreaming about that massage...
And I followed through with setting up my tattoo appointment. It is for next week. And I can't wait. And since I am so excited about it, I am going to give a preview as to what it will be...there will be some changes to it, so it's not going to look just like what's pictured...such as the antennae's won't be on her head and the wings will be different. And there won't be any of the shading around her. Amongst a few other differences..but I don't want to give it all away.

And here is one that I already have. It was my vey first tattoo. I was either 18 or 19 when I got this one. I also have one on my ankle that I got when I was 21, but that was a spur of the moment tattoo, and I don't like it, so I'm not going to show it. I wouldn't suggest spur of the moment tattoo's. The one on my lower back, I kept that design with me for forever before I finally went and got it. I really wanted to be sure. I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I got the one on my ankle, I was out with my friend Charlene and we both decided to get one spur of the moment, and now all these years later I wish it wasn't there. It has a heart with some vines and it says "bad". I'm not going to elaborate on that.
I know a lot of times there is a negative outlook on tattoos, and that only trashy people get them. Not so. They are so main stream these days. Doctors, officers, lawyers, everday "normal" people have them. Including us SAHM's. I know everyone has their own opinions, but I really don't appreciate the negative aspect towards it. I know my own grandmother thinks that girls shouldn't have them, but it is ok for guys. To each their own I guess.

Dear Someone

Dear Me,

Now that I have the majority of the day to myself, I should really get on the ball and do some of the things that I have been meaning to do, but haven't since I feel like I've been all over the place. I can really share my time with getting things done, such as setting up that long overdue tattoo appointment, making sure my student loan application is correct, and all the other stuff, and still have some time to relax with my comfy pillow, soft blanket, buttery soft body pillow and a book.

Woman who will enjoy the downtime
Me, myself and I

Dear next few months,

I really cannot wait for you to get here and all that you bring with you. AZ state fair..Dizzy Yay! Halloween..Spooky Yay! Our 5th anniversary..Romantic Yay! Going to the Melting Pot for our anniversary..Yummy Yay! A bizillion birthdays..Whoopee Yay! Thanksgiving..MmmMmm Yay! Christmas..busier than all get out Yay!

The excited woman
Rose

Dear Jason,

So glad we got the $75 gift cards each just by filling out a health inquiry through our insurance. Even happier that you suggested we use it to buy the rest of the protective coating for our wood fence. (not) While I agree it will be the best use for it so we don't have to spend on the ridiculously expensive stuff...there are so many pictures that popped into my head that I could've used mine for...a good head start towards a new camera, a long awaited spa day with the best dang massage that I have been talking about for years and have never gotten, some new clothes, save it for when the state fair comes around, and the list goes on..did I mention that massage?

Your I still love you regardless
Wife

Dear Dumb Ass,

I know you live around here, but I don't know your name. But you are just like the other dumb ass that I unfortunately do know. Automakers install seatbelts for a reason. Your kids shouldn't be able to jump around like a bunch of baboons in your car while driving down the road. Buckle them up before you no longer have them anymore.

My son has a drinking problem. He is ALWAYS parched...and when he drinks out of a bottle...this is what it looks like. Cracks me up every time.

Anybody dare drink after him?!...yah, me neither.

Award

Got me another award...woohoo!...thanks Mimi!

While I don't actually know all the rules yet...I guess I have to tell 7 things you may not know about me...and then nominate 7 other blogs. The first part, no problemo, the second part, kinda hard since I have not researched very many blogs yet since I'm technically still a newbie.

So here goes with the 7 things you may not know about me (and may not want to know!)...

1. I am mainly a calm person, but get me out to a concert, sporting event, etc. and a whole new me breaks loose. Love dancing and getting crazy at concerts, love to go to hockey games just to watch the players fight, etc.

2. I have loose lips. Don't take that wrong! I tend to say some pretty shocking things that sometimes people can't believe I just said it. And..I don't really care. No embarrassment.

3. I have always held "normal" jobs, such as being a sales clerk/supervisor, and emergency dispatcher, etc. But, I have had other things that I guess wouldn't be so normal that I would have loved to have done...such as be on TV on that show called girl fight, where the girls get in the ring and box it out. How exciting!

4. I would never follow through with #3 though...I don't heal well.

5. A little on the more personal side...I grew up with my grandparents since my parents were addicts...I believe that everyone has a choice in life, either take the low road and screw your life up, or make good decisions and don't go down that path...I did not go down that path..I had wonderful grandparents that raised me and what a wonderful life I have.

6. I live in the desert, so anytime I see places that are nice and green, I am envious.

7. I have two tattoos...and will be getting my third and final one very soon. I will have to do a post when it's all done.

So that was the seven things you may not have known about me...and now you do!

As for nominating others...I think I will wait on that due to a few reasons. Right now I am just really enjoying reading others blogs and getting to know all of the different women and having fun connecting with others.

So thanks again Mimi! And thank you to everyone who has taken an interest in my moments!

It happened...

Jayce turned 6. We celebrated his birthday over the weekend...and here is a look back at the memories of Mr. Jayce...

This is when Jayce was in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) after he was born. There were blood incompatibility issues, so I had to go in three times while I was pregnant with him so the doctors could transfuse blood into the umbilical cord, and then Jayce had to receive three more transfusions after he was born.

And here he is just a few months old..healthy as can be.

He enjoyed his first birthday...

He wears himself and everyone else out...soooo cute when sleeping! And take a look at those eye lashes, they are so very long!

Little bitty and his best friend (sometimes).

And here he is on the day of his birthday..

Hope you had a great birthday Jayce...I love you to pieces!

P!NK CONCERT

Finally...the long awaited pink concert...there we are, the 4th stop in the 2009 Tour,
Glendale, AZ

I have to say that I think that was the best concert that I have ever been to. Full of energy, lots of stuff going on, lots of songs performed. The opening act was The Ting Tings...could've done without them...like the beat of the drums, that was about it though.

But once P!NK finally got on stage...Charlene and I along with the whole crowd went wild. Screaming, dancing, singing, the whole thing...lots and lots of energy. Hmm, wonder why my throat is sore today! The show was supposed to start at 7:30 p.m., but it didn't start until sometime just after 8 p.m. And then it didn't end until 11:30 p.m. Well worth the money...well worth all of the excitement building up to being able to go. The only thing I wish were different was I wish that we were able to take in cameras...but don't think we would've gotten good shots anyways with all of the lights.

There was a moment in the show where they did shots of people dancing in the crowd. They got to this one lady that was dancing so funky...you know the kind that can't dance but do it anyways...the whole crowd was in an uproar watching her dance...I had tears just streaming down my face watching her. Great entertainment!

While standing in "line" (more like a mosh pit) to get souvenirs, we were entertained by a lady that was hollering at the workers behind the counter that her and these two girls before her were there way before the guy that was getting served, and then him cussing at her for it, but then it just abruptly ended. Other than that, there wasn't any other rowdy events to watch and be entertained by.

There was a very naughty scene when pink sang the song (don't remember the title) "when I think about you, I touch myself"...I'll leave it up to your imaginations to imagine what was going on there....

Overall..I LOVED THAT CONCERT!!! If there are any other P!NK fans out there, I would highly suggest this show...she's got lots more tour locations for 2009..wish I could go to all of them. And she sounds absolutely awesome in person. I love her sarcastic humor..got a little of that in me, so I can relate.

Guess I will end this novel...what a great memory this will be....I know you will read this Charlene...hope it will be a great memory for you also...

Field Trip

Whew...glad that's over! So the kindergarten through 3rd grade kids had a field trip today to the AZ Science Center. It was pretty neat and I only had to watch two kids, my own son and another little boy. They were good and I had lots of fun watching their joy and exitement. I think their favorite part was the huge nose that you could throw balls into and then press a button and the nose would push out a burst of air and the balls would come flying out of the nose. Scared the heck out of me when we first got there, didn't know it was going to do that...yes, that was me screaming, not some kid!
So here's some pics of Jayce enjoying the trip...

Here is Jayce in a wheel chair race...

And sitting on a seat that him and his teacher pull on a rope and it lifts the seat up in the air

So a good time was had by all...all except for us sweating to death, it was really hot/humid, this coming from someone that is always cold/freezing.

This is the last day that my baby boy is 5, so he had a good day to celebrate the end of another year. I on the other hand...just might be really sad about this...

Dear Someone

Dear Other Teams Volleyball Ref,

You suck. You really do. And your smug attitude needs.to.go. I'm sure you heard all the crap talk about you that us parents from our team were saying about you, and yes, that would include the superintendant to our school. Next time if I were you ( which thankfully, I'm not) I would unhinge the corn cob out your rear end. Oh, and the little shake it booty dance that you momentarily did when you looked at the kids from your team, that.was.sick...you should've heard your own kids laughing and making fun of you, you were the only one impressed with ya old self.

Woman who thinks you need to loosen up, but not enough to booty shake
Rose

Dear Jayce,

Thanks for the laugh on the ride home from the volleyball game yesterday, your sisters and I really enjoyed it. That was the best thing you could say, when the song came on saying "kiss me through the phone, I'll see you later on".., you said eeeeeeewwwwww kisssssiiing. Good boy, don't you forget it. Ever. And the sound of your voice when you said it was just hilarious.

Your thankful for the memories mom,
Mommy

Dear Taylor and Jayce,

You two had better NEVER AGAIN be sitting there at a volleyball game, or anywhere else for that matter, showing the little people around you your underwear so they can see the color of them. And I don't care that you two didn't start it....don't follow!

Your you will regret it next time mom,
Mommy

Dear Alyssa,

I am proud of you that you are doing great with the multi-tasking: grades are great, you're doing wonderful in volleyball, and helping out with the student council. Yet, you need to ZIP IT when it comes to arguing with me and be prepared to lose some of your stuff if you come home with makeup on one.more.time.

Your mixed feelings mom,
Mom

Wacky Wednesday

Let's reminisce about some funny stuff...

*After my friend (Jen) had her first child (who is now 8), we went and had a few drinks at a pool hall/bar. This was her first time being able to go out and have a drink and some fun. I hadn't been paying attention to how much she had to drink as I was busily just talking and having fun. So while I was talking with my boyfriend at that time, I see Jen out of the corner of my eye talking with his roommate (whom she had no interest in)...and then I see her fall to the floor. Yep, the girl passed out drunk. Well I wasn't worried since my boyfriend at the time (who was a medic) wasn't worried. So my guy (at that time) and his roommate had to pick her up and carry her to her car. I.was.cracking.up. When they picked her up, her shirt came up too. I.laughed.harder.

When we got driven back to my guy at that time's place, Jen got carried in and put on the roommates bed...and then she rolled completely OFF of the bed. I.laughed.harder. It was really late by then. After going to bed I heard something out in the pool room, so I got up since I figured it was Jen. What was she doing? She was crawling to get her cell phone..you see, her mom was watching her daughter and we were supposed to be back that night...but we were both too drunk to drive. This was going to be good. Really people, you shoulda been there. Word from the drunk ass new momma...take it easy the first time around!

*What is the funniest/most memorable come on that I have EVER heard???
"I want to bite your ass and get lock jaw"
Who could ever forget that one?!

*What is the craziest thing that has EVER happened to you?
It happened many years ago while my friend Jen and I were in the grocery store. We were in one of the aisles and hunched down looking at something on the bottom shelf. I look up because I am noticing rapid movement that is staying in one spot. I see this kid that looks like he's somewhere in his late teens...naw, he can't be doing what it looks like he's doing..while staring at us. So we stand up and move on and don't see him again..until a little bit later, this time same kid, same movement, watching us from by the corner of the center of the long aisles. Aww.hell.naw.he's.yanking.himself.and.staring.at.us...first thing that comes to mind was kick his a** and take names later. But in reality, we crazy chicks look at eachother at the same moment, we both grab onto the cart and charge to the front of the store to report what was happening. We didn't even leave the cart behind, I guess we decided that the cart needed to be saved from the insanity also. The kid was gone by the time they checked the store. There's some sick.people.out.there....

*Dang it was freakin' hot out while watching the game...literally looked like I had pissed mah pants by the time it was over with...whatever happened to fall weather?

*Hmm...I have to go now...

*Get ya'lls mind out of the gutter..........I'm tired, and it's late here.

Spouting Off

So while I didn't actually watch the VMA's, I did hear about the snub that Taylor Swift received from Kanye West. So, in honor of him being so Heartless...I thought I would try out a remake of his song...Heartless.

In the night we heard 'em talk,
The coldest story ever told,
Somewhere far along this road, He lost his soul
Yes he was so heartless...How could he be so heartless... oh How could he be so heartless?

How could he be so,
Cold as the winter wind when it breeze yo
Just remember that you talking outside yo head yo
You need to watch the way you dissin' Taylor Swift yo

You know I mean after all the screwed up things that you been sayin' fool
I mean after all the things you get into
And yo we know of some things that you should hold back
And yo stay off the stage and quit yo talkin' smack
And yo Beyonce don't need you to watch her back

And you gon' rush the stage like it's all about "me"
So you walk around like I'm still the old me
You got booed by friends
Hope you still got homies
But in the end you still so lonely

In the night we heard 'em talk,
The coldest story ever told,
Somewhere far along this road
He lost his soul
He was so heartless...How could he be so heartless... oh, How could he be so heartless?

So that is my little re-make. While I love the song Heartless...I thought it was pretty fitting to his demeanor that night...pretty heartless. And how sweet of Beyonce to give it up to Taylor when all was said and done.

I Will Never Forget...

I will never forget...

Being sound asleep after working a noon to midnight shift as an emergency dispatcher, and then going home to my cozy bed. Then my phone ringing at the pre-crack of dawn. And me thinking it better not be someone who knows me and my schedule because they are going to get an earful from me before I hang up and take the cord out of the wall. It happened to be my boyfriend at that time...telling me to turn on the television. As he was starting to get that earful that I was talking about, he cut me off and told me why.

I will never forget...

Staring at the television and being thankful that I live in the small town that I live in and that I was not one of the emergency dispatchers that were having to field the calls, yet at the same time wishing I could be there to help.

I will never forget...

Staring at the buildings, the horrified people, the ash and debris covering every inch of breathing space, the people plummeting out of the windows, the people that lost their lives and the lives of loved ones or friends, the emergency responders, the people that have never been able to get over what they went through..the list could go on forever..as I will remember forever.

I will never forget...

Those who are out fighting for our freedom and security and their families, and those who return and can't handle the stresses of what they went through and are no longer with us because they couldn't handle the devastation that they went through.

I will never forget...

All of the sacrifices and all of the losses.

We should never forget...

Dear Someone

Dear Jason,

Please don't laugh at me the next time I tell you that I want $50 from each of the kids for a trinity ring that I want for Christmas. It's not that far fetched of a request..we all know that it would have to come from you first.

Your You Better Be Kind To Me Wife
Babe

Dear Jayce,

The closer your birthday comes, the more anxiety I am getting. For a few reasons. The main reason is I really don't want you to turn 6, I want you to stay 5 and little bitty. Secondly, I fear all of the little kids that will be over running our house at your party.

Your loving and kid fearing mom
Mommy

Dear Jewelry Store,

The next time I go in to get my ring cleaned like I often do, please don't ever tell me again that I have a loose stone. And don't take the ring and tell me that the jeweler won't pick it up until Friday and that I won't get it back until next Tuesday. I feel naked without it. And sometimes when I look down and see it isn't there I panic for a moment until I remember where it is.

Your Customer Only In Need Of A Ring Cleaning

Dear Taxes and Insurance,

I am really sick of you. You need to quit stalking me and showing your face around here. I did not invite you, I did not request you. I don't know who made you up to begin with, but you and your maker ougtta be hung. You are draining us...

Wacky Wednesday

So I had to go and do an emergency shopping trip today. I needed a new crockpot. When I went grocery shopping a few days ago, I bought some stuff to make a roast. Well, I forgot that I threw out the old crock pot.

So I decided to drag my grandma down to walmart with me so I could get me a new one. As we were leaving walmart I had to stop pushing my cart for a minute and make a show out of me pulling up my pants, for the millionth time, since they kept falling. After I got done doing this I turned around with a big grin to see my grandma's reaction to this, because let me tell ya, I really did make a scene pulling up mah pants..didn't care who was watching either. Well, she was laughing. BUT...that wasn't the funny part.

The funny part was after I started walking again, she tells me "when you walk your butt goes up and down". WHAT??! Did I just hear her correctly?..Yep. That's what she said. So then I asked her what she was doing lookin' at mah butt. And she tells me "well, you're walking in front of me, what do you expect me to look at?". Umm, not my butt! There's a billion other things in the walmart parking lot to look at!

That just adds another person that mentions my bootay...I guess I have a bubble bootay that is noticable...I have a mini version of baby got back.

So now that I'm done talking about my ass...everyone have a good day!

Random Tuesday Thoughts

So here are my Random Tuesday thoughts...better late than never..Right?!

*Dang...I've been BUSY today. And now I'm tired..but I'm always tired, so nothings really new! I read and studied paperwork for five hours today..can't tell ya why, it's confidential. Just have to say glad it's over now.

*When we came home on Sunday night from a dinner at Shortmama's house, we let the dog in the house. And then we let her right back outside. You see..she got sprayed by a skunk while we were gone. She was stanky! Not extreme or anything, so she mustn't have received a direct hit. So then she had to have an outdoor bath..

"This sucks"

"This double sucks"

"Does It Look Like I'm Enjoying This"

Aww, how cuuute!

"Dang I'm pooped from all this bathing and staying the night outside"

*I have new beautician that I go to, and I when I went for a trim the other day she asked me "you work out don't you?"...man I love her! My (cursing) dvd's by Jillian Michaels must be working..woohoo! I don't need to lose, I just need to tone...and I hate every second of working out (well kinda) but the results are great.

Friend Makin' Mondays

So the question from Amber this week is...What are some of your favorite things about fall?

The change in weather is definately one favorite thing. Everything in general just seems more relaxed and enjoyable when the hotter than hay temps make an exit.

Another favorite is knowing that the AZ State Fair is just around the corner. Love It! I remember being taken to the state fair by my dad when I was a kid. And I remember when my oldest daughter was old/tall enough to go on the rides, we took my dad with us one time. Ohh my gosh, I still crack up to this day thinking of the that ONE ride. It's the ride that looks like a strawberry and it turns in a circle, and it has a wheel in it that you can make the strawberry spin fast or slow while going in a circle...still with me?...well I was stuck in between the two of them and they both looked like they were having the worst time of their lives, they couldn't wait for it to stop and were both on the verge of utter fear. And what was I doing? I was crackin' up 'til I was cryin'. Oh man it was hilarious..well atleast to me.

But since then I take my kids each year. I haven't taken my son yet, waiting for him for him to get older/bigger. But here are some of those great pics that we like to get taken while at the fair.

Me and my daughter Alyssa

Me and my daughter Taylor

And then another favorite would, of course, have to be halloween. Love to take the kids to pick out their halloween costumes. Sometimes the sizing on the costumes are not very correct though. Like the year that all of their costumes were too small. My oldest daughters behind was just above where the fabric ended. I had her wear the costume anyways and just bought her a pair of black tights to help with coverage. My friend Shortmama's parents happened to be trick-or-treating with all of us that particular year and one of them mentioned how small the costume was...I said "yep, she's very bootyful!".

This wasn't the year of the short costumes.

L to R: Jayce, Taylor, niece Ashlyn, and Alyssa

I could probably list a few other things that I really like about fall, but these are the ones that I look forward to the most. Just throw in some hot cocoa and marshmallow roasting and we're good to go! Oh yeah, and we can ride our Polaris Ranger without feeling the wonderful heat searing our skin.

This next award is bestowed on to blogs that are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.

So seeing how I am still kinda new to this, and I haven't started to follow a lot of blogs yet, and in turn don't have a lot of followers..yet..then I am going to mention the people that I do get comments from and comment to the most.

They would be......

Carrin...at Carrin's Comments

April...at The Life of Me Plus Three

Mimi...at Living in France

Jessica..at Overflowing Bookshelf

Some of these girls have already received these awards...so if one of you hasn't, then please take the award, as I love to read your blogs and thank you for taking an interest in mine!

Dear Someone

Dear Shortmama,

That is just hella funny that you are out taking pics of scummy tattoos/people at the Goodwill. I'm so glad I wasn't there with you, I would've been rollin' on the floor and then you would've been caught.

Your tickled funny friend
Rose

Dear Old Friend from grade school/high school,

I don't know how many times or ways that I can let you know that I DO NOT want to be friends with you anymore. Really now, this ended over a decade ago, and you're STILL (stalking) trying to see about hanging out together. We are two different people, you went down the trashy road of life and I stayed on the let's better ourselves in life path...so go smoke another one and just pretend I don't exist. Just because I'm nice to your kids doesn't mean I want to be with you...I feel sorry for them that they have a mother like you.

The ex-friend that's getting really ticked off
Non-Extistant Rose

Dear Jason and Levi,

Shortmama and I aren't really bashing on you when we do post in here about you guys, it's all out of love and fun..even though you two sometimes aren't laughing along with us.

Your loving wife..and crazy friend
Rose

Dear Roxy,

Start acting normal before I take you to a doggie therapist. Every time that dad comes home, would you please stop planting your excited booty in front of me and staring at me like I'm the one that just got home? Really now, you've been home with me the whole day, I'm not the one that just got home. Get your mind right.

Your fed up owner
Rose

Dear kids,

The sooner you learn that when you are told not to do something, and then when I ask you why you did that said something anyways when you knew you weren't supposed to, and your response to me is "because I wanted to", the longer I may allow you to live if I don't hear those words ever again.

Your "aww, hell naw you just didn't say that" awstruck mom
Mommy

Life update

So yesterday I reported that I bought a desk that my husband was going to have to put together ...and that he was going to love me for it (hehe, that's funny!). A few curses and some re-doing, the desk was finally complete.

This how the desk was turning out to look like.
Me: Um, I think there is something wrong here.
Jason: No, that's what the instructions show.
Me: Um, no, that can't be right. The top of the desk is laying on the ground, and the rest doesn't look very functional.
Jason: Hmm, maybe you're right.

After re-arranging some pieces, he got it almost right. He'll fix the rest this weekend. You see, the board in the back where your knees almost touch, it's turned around the wrong direction, and so is the little bottom board on the right side.
Me: Can you fix it.
Jason: Do you know what I have to take apart just to fix those two pieces?
Me: Please.
Jason: Would you like to do it yourself?
Me: Um, no, just for you to fix it thank you!

So I followed through with going and taking my english and reading placement tests. Dang I hate it when I stress over stuff and then come to find out I didn't need to after all. They request you to take a math placement test also, but let's just face it, I suck at math and I'm just gonna start from the easiest course and make my way up. Let's not embarass myself with that placement test.

But as for the english and reading...how did that turn out you say? Wonderfully! I am exempt from reading...woohoo, no reading classes for me! And for english, I don't have to take any of the starter classes. I am starting where they make everyone start, unless they have to take the english classes that lead up to it, not only am I able to start higher up, but I can choose either English 101 or English 101 Honors. Really now..I'm not too excited over this!

So now I need to see about taking an english and math class online, and then start at one of the community colleges in Spring of 2010. Exciting and nerve wracking all at once...

Random Tuesday Thoughts

So this is my first participation in Random Tuesday Thoughts, straight from The Un Mom.

*Last night was the first volleyball game of the year for my daughter Alyssa and the team. This is her second year playing volleyball, and she is now on the A Team...way to go! There was a lot of improvement since last year, seeing how they only had two practices before their first game. I think our family filled up the majority of the bleachers. Ok, not really, but there were a lot of us there rooting for her and her teammates. Now I know I usually get really excited going to these things, but ya'll really should've seen and heard my husband. He was really having a good time cheering...LOUDLY! It was cute and amusing all at one time. There was one time when the ball came flying directly at me and I pulled a karate move..both arms and one leg went out a once, and I ended up kicking the ball. My husband tells me that it's not soccer...I tell him he better watch it, I just may pull that move on him.

*My husband is going to love me. He always loves it when I buy tables/bookshelves, etc. that he has to put together. Well, I did it again. Oops..well, not really. I bought a desk to put in our sons room. Not only will he have to put the desk together, he's also gonna have to carry it into the house because I'll be darned if I'm gonna try and lift that thing again. I got it into the cart and then into my truck since I'm too proud to ask for help, I ain't doing it anymore though.

*Mmm,this brownie sure is good!

*I really do need to take the time to go down and take a placement test for english and reading. I have decided that I am going to go for the nursing. I think I shall do it on Friday, when I already have to travel out of my out in the middle of nowhere town. Or, maybe I will do it tomorrow as I shouldn't procrastinate and am not doing anything tomorrow anyways.

*I'm happy that my friend Melissa has found a job...but not that she has to travel over half the earth to get there.

*Dear Shortmama...I am still offering the naked boogey dance if you need a good laugh...
