~ We have changed plans last minute on what we are doing for this Thanksgiving. We are going from hosting it at our place..to meeting up with family at The Cracker Barrel. No cooking, no cleaning, just visiting. And really, I love The Cracker Barrel....I could go there just for their sweet tea, or just for their biscuits, or just for..well, for the damn good food! Did I mention no messes to clean up?
~ In January I will be heading off to Laughlin! Ok, it's not that exciting really. I.Don't.Like.Laughlin. I'm going to attend the Arizona Fire District Association Conference, which I've done for the past few years. The conferences are fine to attend...I like to learn things..no promises on how good I retain these things though. But it's just Laughlin itself. Not much to do there when you're not in conferences, besides gamble. And quite frankly, gambling pisses me off. Enough said on that one. Although one year my husband and I stopped in Bullhead City on the way home and took a sand rail tour to Oatman, AZ. That was really fun driving those things...minus we were freezing our asses OFF. My husband was even freezing, so you could imagine how I was. By the time we got to Oatman, I felt like the jackasses that roam the dirt roads there (literally, donkeys have free roam there)...what was the first thing we did after we ate?..we hit up the shops to buy them out of winter wear. I'd suggest the tour..but not in January. Wow...that was a long random thought!
~ I.Hate.Painting. It's so pretty by the time your done...I just hate the doing it part.-Get your minds outta the gutter, I'm talking about painting here.
~ I have an iPod Shuffle that I have had for at least a year now..and it's still sitting pretty in it's package. I still really want to use it, but haven't taken the time to actually download songs. If you get right down to it, I don't even know where to go to find songs I want to download. Computer illiterate here. Any suggestion on where to go? (And this doesn't mean telling me where to go and how to get there!)
If you would like to join in on Random Tuesday Thoughts...go visit The Un Mom!
You can burn cds to your music library and add those to your shuffle. Just plug it in and it will start up.
ReplyDeleteHave a great RTT!

Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI love Cracker Barrel! What a great choice for T-day. Have a wonderful time!
iTunes, girl! You have to install the iPod to your computer and it will direct you to iTunes and you can buy music there. OR, download your own songs to the computer and put em on your iPod. BUT, you have to first get iTunes so you have a way to manage your music.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Laughlin was a show once, remember? Hugh Jackman was in it and it was like a musical show. It bombed.
I need to paint, but have been too lazy to do it....
ReplyDeleteYum, I also love Cracker Barrel. They do have awesome tea.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a dork. You have a shuffle sitting in a box? I dont even own one or anything like it and I knew that you are supposed to go to iTunes first...iPod, iTunes...get it?
ReplyDeleteAnyway after that there all kinds of places to go to download music. Even on Walmart.com you can download songs for like 88 cents or something
My preference for download is Walmart, but they don't have every song. I also transfer CDs that I like and we already have onto my computer and then sync to my iPod. My husband had to get me started, but now that I'm set up I dig it. You should do it before you leave on your trip!!! Enjoy Cracker Barrel. That sounds amazing. I can't get Cracker Barrel in So Cal and would LOVE to be there on Thursday. Have something cheesy and bad for me :)
ReplyDeleteI've had my IPod for about a year and have downloaded all my cd's and when i hear a song I like I get it off of Itunes. I also have books on tape, podcasts and I can add pictures and video's to it also. I love, love, love it! I get songs on Itunes for 99Cents. I have over 1000 songs and still have lots of room. If "mom" can do it I know you can put it to good use. Love ya
ReplyDeleteBenny asked me what an ipod was a while back and I told him a high teck walkman and he asked why everyone wanted one. It was funny to me.
