Went to the kids awards assembly...it's highly screwed up and disorganized now. Different grades overlap their times on when they are giving out the awards, instead of doing it like they used to in the gym. How in theeee heck am I supposed to see everyone get their awards if they are scheduled at the same time??! Just sayin'
Then I had my hair appointment to get my hair did. Let's just say my stylist cracks.me.up. She talks mad gab about people, and I love it. She's funny. She invited me and my hubby to a wine tasting bar with herself and her hubby and a whole group of other people. Had to decline though...number one I don't like wine, I've only tried 2 though and didn't like either. And secondly, no sitters. Come to find out that another one of her clients is the guy that did my butterfly fairy tat, and she is going to be getting hers done from him soon. Awesome.
Did half of my grocery shopping and then picked the kids up so we could meet up with hubby at his grandparents house for a visit. Love them. They crack me up too. Met other family members while there. My oldest Alyssa went for a walk while there with two other teen girls that were there. They had a blast while out. Guess they terrorized the neighborhood. It's an elderly community. Guess one of the girls pissed off one of the elderly residents by sitting on the block wall. The girls cracked up when describing how pissed off the woman was. They also smelled like a bunch of weeds when they got back. Weeds. Not weed. There would've been some huge problems if that were the case. Anystanky, guess they decided to pull some weeds along the way. What the hell, Alyssa would call that a terrible chore around our yard, but ship her out for a walk with some other girls her age and it turns into a fun sporting event of picking weeds and throwing them at each other. She needs to get her priorities straight!
Ate dinner at Chipotle on the way home. First time eating there. It was pretty good, but I thought it was a restaurant, and not a fast food type of restaurant. Healthy and good though. And then...at band camp..just kidding....we stopped at Cold Stone Creamery for some ice cream. Yum...but dumb. Cause we were already freezing our azzzez off, so the dang cold ice cream didn't help.
And that was my day. Hope you enjoyed it for whatever it was worth!
And on one last side note....I am going to participate in Shortmama's Spring Swap. If you would like to participate then visit her and link up and join in!
I think it is dumb when people that do scheduling do dumb things like that. I mean it can't really be that hard to do it the old way so the parents can see all their kids get awards but what do I know.
ReplyDeleteChipotle and Cold Stone Creamery...yum!
ReplyDeleteThey do have the times all screwed up now. Makes more sense to have it at the gym like they used to
ReplyDeleteCold Stone...I'm drooling. I LOVE that place.
ReplyDeleteI always get the "Love It" size and go, "Why didn't I get the "Like It" size??"
Gah.
Anyway, off to post about the swap.
Oh, I miss Chipotle and Cold Stone! Wah''''

The weeds thing sounds like my daughter- helping grandma with her yard is fun, our yard it's back-breaking child labor.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you need to try some better wine ;)
