Holy Hormonal She's A Teen

I'm doing this post early and setting it to post on Friday, cause ya know we're at Disneyland celebrating (crying over) Alyssa's 13th birthday. I still remember the day she was born, which is pretty amazing, cause I can't remember sheet.

But anyalzheimers, she was a stubborn one from the start. We didn't know what she was gonna be cause her little hands were covering her private parts during the ultra sound. My pregnancy was really easy with her though. The day she was born I remember just staring at her in amazement. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Part of this may have been because I wanted to lie still in one position cause I was in pain....but really, it's cause I was amazed by her.

So here is Alyssa's story in pictures.
Really, they are pictures of pictures because I can't figure out my scanner :)
So sorry in advance for the poor quality

HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY ALYSSA!
I LOVE YOU TO PIECES!

Birthday Surprise Woot Woot

Ok people, the day has arrived...duh duh duh duhhhhhhhh! Remember how I've been talking about a birthday surprise for Alyssa????! Weeellll, as you are reading this...these people....

Miss soon to be teen Alyssa...

My nephew Tate...

My hubby...

And me...

are heading here!!!!........

That's right! We're on our way to Disneyland to celebrate Alyssa's 13th birthday!!!! I'm sooooo essssited! And the best thing about it...Alyssa and Tate didn't have one clue as to what was going on. Alyssa knew she was getting a surprise "party", but doesn't expect anything like this. And Tate has no clue he's even involved. So at this point in time I can't tell you their response...cause I'm writing this on Tues. and setting it to post on Thurs. afternoon.

So we will be arriving in Cali late on Thursday night. And we will spend Friday and Saturday park hopping. And then Sunday we will get up and take a trip to the beach before our trip back home.

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHORTMAMA!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR OUR NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN!

Wordful Wednesday

I'd like to go waaaay back in time please...like this far back...
This is me when I was a little (innocent)ha girl

And I'd like to go waaaaaay back, because on Friday my oldest is going to be 13
This is my oldest, Alyssa (left) with her friend Sadie (right) at this year's Valentine's Day Dance

I don't want her to grow up. Well you know...besides those days when we fights and I can't wait until she has her own place...hehe. But really, I don't want her to become a teen. I've been trying to bribe her and come to some sort of negotiation with her to have her not grow up...I haven't gotten anywhere with that. :(

Link up with Seven Clown Circus to participate in Wordful Wednesday!

Random Tuesday Thoughts

~S.t.r.e.s.s. Yep, that's what I'm feeling this morning. The two youngest kids are home sick this morning. It's the t.h.i.r.d. t.i.m.e that they have been sick since Christmas. It's just some cold symptoms, Jayce has a little sore throat and a little cough. Taylor has her normal yucky cough. She gets sick the easiest and tends to have it the longest. Not like anytime is a good time to be sick, but right now is not too good. Today is the first day of my psychology class, and unless Jason is going to be able to make it home, then I won't be able to attend. So there is stress factor #1. Stress factor #2 would be that we have the big surprise for Alyssa's birthday this week. You know, like the pre-paid really expensive kind of surprise. So today, I stress. I've got them both loaded up with vitamin C...and me too for just in case.

~Friday was the valentine's party for the kids at their school, so I went to hang out. Jayce specifically asked me to go to his party, but I had to make it to all the kids classes while there. Here are some pics I snapped of the day...I have some I'd like to post, but they have other kids in there, and since I'm not computer savvy, I can't post them cause I don't know how to blur out the other kids faces.

Alyssa, Taylor and Jayce on the playground

Jayce eyeing the kid next him that kept trying to hug Jayce and get in his space...

Taylor playing around

Alyssa twirling around

~Ooh, hubby just called, he is able to make it home so I can go to class. Less stress..yay! Now I shall wonder if there will be anymore good college stories to tell while taking this course!

Valentine Funny and The Renaissance Festival

This Valentine's Day Jason and I decided to stay home and celebrate. He cooked me both breakfast and dinner. We also had bought a gift for eachother. I bought him a Cabela's Big Game Hunter game for the Wii. I was thinking along the lines of "love"...well, he loves to hunt, so now he can do it indoors too! And then it came time to open my gift...and this is what I found...

Some jammies that say "Gimme Some Sugar"

I think we both started busting up laughing at the same time. I think he meant it for both ways...as in "gimme some lovin" and also in the sense that I'm a sugaraholic.

Well today I took the kids to the Renaissance Festival. For those of you who may not know what that is....it's described as a trip back in time. It is five festivals all rolled in to one giant costumed fantasy village with:
  • Twelve Stages of Continuous Live Entertainment
  • An Outdoor Circus
  • A Medieval Arts & Crafts Fair
  • A Jousting Tournament with Three Performances Each Day
  • A Day - Long Feast
You have to have patience getting there though, because it's a long arse wait during the stop and go 5-15 mph drive. That's due to so many people going there on a little two lane road. Long story short, if you don't pack some patience then you may end up pissed off. Short story made long...I was pissed off.

Here are some pics of our time there...

The kids...

Me and the two youngest...

Alyssa on the bungee jump...ponytail up in the sky

The kids on an elephant...they were watching another elephant give itself a bath

Their elephant wanted to join in on the water play...

Awards

Now I have thanks to give to two ladies who have given me awards.

This first award comes from Mimi @ Living in France. We've been stalking each other for a while now...she's a funny fekker...keeps me entertained. Sounds like I'm giving her the award or something!

Here is the award that she has bestowed upon me....

The rules are:
Name 6 things I am master of. Like you don't already know...duh!
And then pass it on to 6 bloggers that are master of friendship and making blogging so awesome.

Mmkay, so here are the six things that I am a master of...let me take a moment to make some things up here...

*I'm the master of LMFAO when my husband asked what I'm a master of, and then he told me I'm a masterbator. Bwahahahahaaaaaaaaa. But don't tell anyone.
~I'm a master of getting plenty of sleep yet feeling like I'm not well rested. I'm a serial napper....love it.
*I'm a master of grounding myself to my room when the kids are fighting.
~I'm a master of diving head first into things that might intimidate me, kinda like public speaking, and then getting pissed off and regretting it later. Think first dangit.
*I'm the master of the state fair. Rides, cotton candy, old tyme photos, cotton candy, BBQ, cotton candy, lemonade and cotton candy.
~I've mastered being the kinda girl that's not so much a girly girl...Imma let's get out and play in the dirt kinda girl.

And now for the 6 bloggers that I will pass this on to...I'm going to pass it on to some of the newer blogs that I have found.

~Arizona Mamma @ Our Daze in the Desert
~Steph @ Watching Airplanes
~Shell @ Things I Can't Say
~Missy @ Everything But The Kitchen Sink
~Cop Mama
~Alicia @ It Ain't Easy Being Cheesy

Now the second award that I received comes from Mass Hole Mommy. We're still kinda new to each other, so that's awesome that she thought of me! Thank you much!

So...here are the rules to receive the Beautiful Blogger award:
1. Thank & link to the person that gave you the award!
2. Pass this award onto 15 bloggers you’ve discovered & think are fantastic.
3. Contact said Blogs & let them know they've won!
4. State 7 things about yourself.

Well, let me first start by saying that there's no way in sam heck that I have the patience right now to pass it on to 15 bloggers and then link up to them all. Mmm mmm. I can't follow all the rules all the time, so that one is gonna have to go by the wayside this time....if you only knew how long it took me to pick and link on the last award!

So, I will state 7 things about myself...

1. I'm a sugaraholic...but I'm not supposed to be since I'm hypoglycemic. I'll take a little bit of tea with my sugar please.

2. I'm kinda two-sided. I can be a really quiet, shy, introverted kinda girl. Or I can get all out crazy and say/do some pretty wild things. (Be quiet Shortmama, you have no stories to tell on this subject)

3. I found working as an emergency dispatcher less stressful than raising kids ; )

4. I got caught smoking in 2nd grade...it cured me from ever wanting to smoke again.

5. I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. I like it when it's short, cause it's sassy. But I'd love to have it really long, but the longer it gets the thinner it looks. I do have a lot of hair, but it's very fine.

6. I used to be a little scrapper when I was young...young as in before the third grade. I grew up in the ghetto until the third grade, so you had to. So every fight that I've ever been in was before the 3rd grade. I got kicked off the bus for beating up the boys at the bus stop, ya know, stuff like that. Now I don't care to, I like to avoid drama and confrontation.

7. I'm an outdoors kinda girl. Love camping, hiking, boating, quad riding, swimming. Fun, adventurous, peaceful.

Thanks again for the awards ladies!
