Valentine Funny and The Renaissance Festival

This Valentine's Day Jason and I decided to stay home and celebrate. He cooked me both breakfast and dinner. We also had bought a gift for eachother. I bought him a Cabela's Big Game Hunter game for the Wii. I was thinking along the lines of "love"...well, he loves to hunt, so now he can do it indoors too! And then it came time to open my gift...and this is what I found...

Some jammies that say "Gimme Some Sugar"

I think we both started busting up laughing at the same time. I think he meant it for both ways...as in "gimme some lovin" and also in the sense that I'm a sugaraholic.

Well today I took the kids to the Renaissance Festival. For those of you who may not know what that is....it's described as a trip back in time. It is five festivals all rolled in to one giant costumed fantasy village with:
  • Twelve Stages of Continuous Live Entertainment
  • An Outdoor Circus
  • A Medieval Arts & Crafts Fair
  • A Jousting Tournament with Three Performances Each Day
  • A Day - Long Feast
You have to have patience getting there though, because it's a long arse wait during the stop and go 5-15 mph drive. That's due to so many people going there on a little two lane road. Long story short, if you don't pack some patience then you may end up pissed off. Short story made long...I was pissed off.

Here are some pics of our time there...

The kids...

Me and the two youngest...

Alyssa on the bungee jump...ponytail up in the sky

The kids on an elephant...they were watching another elephant give itself a bath

Their elephant wanted to join in on the water play...

I'm not a professional photographer, so click on the pics to see better detail!

  4. Love your jammies so fitting for the occasion. Festival looks so fun, not sure about the elephant ride I'm a baby when it comes to that. Great pictures!

  5. Love those pics. I don't think my kids would be brave enough to get on an elephant.

  7. Is the renaissance thing permanent or a stop in like a carnival?? I'm wondering because they were gonna MAYBE open one around here and have it be seasonal but they changed their minds.
Haha, also your pajamas say sugar daddy. Is he your sugar daddy? He's not old enough, huh! :)
And one more thing...what was it? Oh yeah, that picture of you on the fat chick's body...now we know what your head would look like superimposed on my bod. Yikes.
