Taylor getting the party started...
Ooh, I love it...
My hat is off to Walmart...looks like it says "happy gth birthday" instead of happy 9th birthday....and then they started her name with a lower case letter and then followed up in caps...hmm.
Taylor and Granny
Alyssa and her bestie...
Mister Jayce with a messy cake mouth...
Shortmama's daughter Rhiannon in her cool specs...
And Shortmama's daughter Layla in her cool specs...
So later on after the party, we joined up with Shortmama and her family at a memorial benefit for her uncle's wife. Her uncle just recently passed away unexpectedly, and he was part of a band, so the band was playing at a local restaurant and there were a bunch of people that came to show support. Everyone was dancing and drinking and having a good time. Our hubby's had a few beers, and Shortmama and I settled on some malibu and coke. Let me tell you, just ONE put me 3 sheets to the wind. I had to sit my butt down. Gave everyone else a good laugh though. I on the other hand didn't expect to feel it that much after just one. That's when Jason decided to let me know that the bartender made it stronger than normal. Thank.you. I don't think I would've drank it as fast had I known.
I am so jealous that you live so close to each other!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable pics! And yea on the drunk moment! :) Gotta love them!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are great! Happy gth birthday to Taylor. Oh, I remember a time when I would have loved to get a strong drink...
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you & Shortmama get to hang out. I am doing her Spring Swap thing---are you?
ReplyDeleteDarling pics--and as far as the cake goes....Wal Mart sucks, but really all that matters is if it tastes good. LOL!
Those are great pictures. Wal Mart ticks me off every time we go there for a cake.
ReplyDeleteBut it looked good! What's NM mean?
I LOVE her shirt she has and is holding up.
Sounds like you had a great weekend! I love me some strong drinks.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun. Dang girl! You're a cheap date... it takes me many, many drinks to get a little tipsy.
ReplyDeleteMy husband IS a bartender, imagine how easy it is for him to get me drunk...
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures...beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteHugs, andrea
