Water Babies

So life has been happening, and I haven't posted in a couple of days, but I am now back.

I took my kids to the river the other day, and they had a good time splashing around. I on the other hand stayed on the sidelines and didn't join in on the fun, other than the fun of watching them be crazy. I injured my big toe back in February...it takes me forever to heal...and the toe nail is falling.off. It looks beautiful. So I didn't get in the water cause I didn't want any germs making their way in and end up with an infection.

So here are the kids having a good time...

I have such great memories of hanging out at the river as a kid, and now I love watching my own kids play in the same river that I enjoyed in my youth. Although, in my youth I wasn't supposed to be hanging out at the river, but there are a few eyes around town that ended up tellin' on me. But I always ended up there again, it was too fun to not!

  1. That looks so fun!
If we swam in the river here we'd either get hypothermia OR grow a 3rd arm....
I wanna see a picture of your gross toe.

  2. That looks like so much fun. Sorry you didn't get to participate, but you can eat your whipps and they can drink lake water.

  4. That looks so fun! We're just a few minutes (literally, minutes) from the ocean but I get terrified of letting my kids go in! A river I could handle, though.

  5. Looks like fun - can't wait until it's warm enough here to be back in the water!
And you lie? And get in trouble back in the day? I CAN'T IMAGINE!!! LOL! :)

  7. I remember swimming in the river when I was a kid... we even used to "float" it on innertubes. Macey must be a big baby because we always had a blast in the freezing waters...or maybe my parents didn't care about me as much as hers... ha ha ha!
Great pics - fun handstands... seeing kiddos happy is one of the best sights!

  9. That looks like so much fun! I with I'd had a river to play in growing up (well, and a mom that was cool enough to take me there, too)!
